Scrum Day San Diego 2015 Builds Momentum in Second Year

IMG_2543_keepJune 24, 2015 San Diego,CA – over 100 software professionals gathered on June 12th, 2015 in San Diego County to learn more about Scrum and Agile and advance their understanding on how to launch Agile project successfully.  With Diana Larsen as the keynote speaker, participants enjoyed a variety of perspectives on the topic of “Well Begun is Half Done”.  The featured speakers at this year’s event – Tirrell Payton, Marcelo Fernandez, Lauren Feehrer and Niv Genchel – all hailed from San Diego County and offered their insights on the best ways to inaugurate that next Agile initiative.  Finally, Uma Palepu, DIMG_2552_keepiana Larsen and Alan Schreguard, fielded questions from Scrum Day participants during the annual lunchtime panel moderated by Carlton Nettleton, President of Look Forward Consulting.  Scrum Day San Diego 2015 was a busy day!

In addition to Diana Larsen’s great talk on Lift-Off and Agile Chartering, four wonderful speakers and a catered lunch from El Indio, the Agile San Diego usergroup awarded their annual Agile Awards during the afternoon.  The 2014 winner of the Agilist of the Year was Joe Dailey for his continued support of the Agile San Diego community in addition his efforts at establishing, extending and growing an Agile culture at Mitchell International.  ID Analytics was the recipient of the 2014 Agile San Diego Team Excellence Award for the achievements of their nine Scrum teams for building a culture with the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto at their core.  Congratulations to Joe Dailey and ID Analytics!!
