Program 2017

In the first half of the day you will see 4 short introductory talks, then choose 2 topics to delve deeply into at our afternoon workshops.

Team Creativity: Beyond The Whiteboard – Sara Ness & Scott McClelland

How can teams work together to find truly creative, functional, fast solutions to a problem? In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore a process that takes us beyond normal brainstorming, decision-making, feedback, and delivery processes. Even we don’t know what will come out of it!

The Power of Liberating Structures – Jeremy Lightsmith

Up your facilitation game using liberating structures to increase productivity and innovation by getting everyone fully engaged. These are bite sized exercises that people can take home and use to work with teams of many sizes.

Refactoring – Michael Feathers

Participate in a hands-on refactoring workshop in Ruby from the legendary programmer who wrote the seminal book on working with legacy code.

Everyday Leadership – Alicia McLain

Leadership is a choice we make every day about how we present ourselves. In our session, we’ll make leadership easy. We’ll see how it’s not as abstract as we think. We’ll define it and we’ll develop action plans to remind us of the choices we have when we’re on or leading our Agile teams, departments and organizations.
